Welcome to the November 2022 Jackson County and Josephine County A.A. Newsletter. Thank you for subscribing.
First, I apologize for the issue that many of you experienced in attempting to download last month’s newsletter. The large size of the attachment preventing the download was a problem. I apologize for that. In the future, I will shorten the newsletter so that it is not that large. Hopefully, no one experiences this problem again.
In this month’s newsletter, we share the principle of Spiritual Awakening. I think that the Daily Reflections shares an exceptional story that defines what is spiritual awakening. I hope that you find it helpful as you search for this principle in your life, but please always remember that even though only you can walk the steps of your recovery, you don’t have to walk it alone.
“Many of us in A.A. puzzle over what is a spiritual awakening. I tended to look for a miracle, something dramatic and earth-shattering. But what usually happens is that a sense of well-being, a feeling of peace, transforms us into a new level of awareness. That’s what happened to me. My insanity and inner turmoil disappeared, and I entered into a new dimension of hope, love, and peace. I think the degree to which I continue to experience this new dimension is in direct proportion to the sincerity, depth, and devotion with which I practice the Twelve Steps of A.A.” (Reprinted from Daily Reflections, December 5, copyright © 1990 with permission from Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.)
I hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter. Please know that your feedback is appreciated and welcome. Also, as you enjoy the upcoming holiday season, I pray that God always blesses you, keeps you, and protects you, but most importantly I pray that you continually lean on God, hold onto God, and never ever lose faith … or grip.
Sincerely, your friend,
Winslow C.
